Communicative

Without communication, you don’t have a team; you have a group of individuals.

Isolation – Spend time with your teammates.  The more you know about them the more you care.

Group Time – Do things as a group. Being around each other opens communication.

24 hour rule – Conflict within the team must be addressed within 24 hours.

Volatile Relationships – Find common ground among those who hate each other and talk about it.

Examples of good communication:

Talk directly to people you have a problem with, don’t believe any rumors. Ask a coach to be there if it will help
Solve volatile problems as soon as possible. Don’t let it sit.  24 hours.
Make sure everyone is up to date on new details. Practice time, when the next round starts, what weight we open at, are we running or lifting, etc.
Do not leave events early or get there late. Come with the team even if you can’t compete (injured, etc)
Do non-wrestling things together as a group (fishing, football games, Melting Pot, etc.)
