Solid relationships hold teams together through adversity.
Five characteristics of a solid relationship:
Respect – Give it freely but earn it from everyone.
Shared Experiences – Spend time outside of the room with your team.
Trust – Believe your teammate will do their job.
Reciprocity – You give to your team freely, but receive as much as you give.
Mutual Enjoyment – Being around your team is fun, even unpleasant tasks turn positive.
Examples of building solid relationships:
Help others in a way that won’t benefit yourself. Don’t back out on plans with teammates. You know why a teammate is having a bad day and care. You invite new teammates when you are hanging out or going somewhere. When your teammate does a good job, let them know. Speak to everyone on the team with respect. Speak about everyone on the team with respect.
